PR Hearts You - Brilliant!
Keeping yourself honest by thinking your audience is in the room is a great take-away. Too often we get stuck in the details of no significance to the relationship. I'll share this post next time I am in a meeting where executives think they can create a viral campaign. (Too soon.)

Great post, Kami! One of the first questions I ask before I put together any comm plan, both internal and external, is "Why should our audience care?" If our product is no less brilliant or competitive than the others, what are we doing to differentiate ourselves? Relationship building has definitely become a lost art. Keep fighting the fight!

Great post, very good points to the complexity of PR. It's true that while strategy is often dictated by executives, tactics are completed by more junior staff. In the end, it's all about the end goal though and what we are able to do for our clients to build their relationships.

Great post Kami!
Couldn't agree more. These days more and more PR folks are stepping into this arena and not really understanding that you really do have to work on the building of relationships, rather than just throwing out another press release to a blogger.
Well said!

Hey look at that, I have been gone all day (in meetings, ha) and all of you have done a great job of extending this thought.
