OK will try it, but to first find the "right" journalists -- online and off, freelance and staffer -- don't forget about www.prmatchpoint.com. (Smile)

I signed up earlier today after reading the Mashable post. I'm looking forward to trying it out and will share my thoughts with you.

Thanks for this excellent write-up, Kami. On my wish list, I'd include the ability to do basic searches and monitoring, with an easy way to add relevant results without leaving the application. That's the holy grail and would truly be "mind blowing" to me! Regardless, BuzzStream definitely looks like one to try out.

Thanks for the excellent product overview and wish list, Kami. This information is incredibly valuable to us at BuzzStream...greatly appreciated.
A few follow-up points:
- I agree that the ability to add multiple twitter accounts is necessary. For now, the way we're dealing with this for our company BuzzStream account is we've created a separate user called "Corporate Twitter Account." You can create a separate user for each account you want to add.
- Grouping by client is also something that's coming (hopefully by the end of the summer).
- There's a way to delete notes. You can view all the notes that have been added from the dashboard. If a tweet comes in that you don't want added, just click on it and you'll be taken to the Note details. You can delete it from there.
- As far as your feeling about link building...we agree. Our experience has been that the type of link building that actually gets results look a lot more like the PR that you do than the link gaming techniques you sometimes see. The best way to get links is through relationships and by providing content that's relevant and valuable to their readers.
@Kellye - stay tuned

Peter; I love the idea of MatchPoint and am waiting for the right project to test it out.
Jodi and Kellye; Keep me apprised of what you think
Paul; I see how it works. Oh, I would also put a quick line below the tags that they are separated by commas - just a little usabilty issue.

Kami, have you tried ITDatabase.com? It's not specifically for blogs and their list is still growing, but it's a great resource for those looking to identify journos and bloggers covering a particular space and then reaching out to them.
It's worth checking out.
And Kami, thanks for writing an interesting blog!

Uriah; Thanks, I checked it out and bookmarked it. It is a database of tech bloggers and journalists - cheaper than Vocus but still pricey.

I just had a look at BuzzStream. Nice interface. It offers seo guys a way to keep track of link building efforts in a single place. Lets give them a try.
