I agree mentoring is just as important now...maybe even more so.

Web 2.0 has given us a whole new set of tools to use for mentoring. There is formal mentoring, like the program I am going through now. Then you can have informal mentoring through Facebook, LinkedIn, even blogs.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. This is helpful especially as this is all new to me.

What a great post, and the sychronicity is amamzing. Charlie O'Brien was a great mentor of mine, and if anyone finds what I write readable, you can blame Charlie. When he died, I re-met Shel at his funeral and within a very short period of time, Shel became a mentor of mine. I've always thought that Charlie brought Shel back into my life, just when I needed him most. Can't figure out how he knew about social media .. but I don't care. Just very glad he did.
