I did my graduate research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, in the Beckman Neuroscience Center. Jim Watson's office was ~100 ft. down the hall from my lab bench.

I remember back in Ought-1 I was shooting laser at crystals in Puget Sound when a particularly funny thing happened to me. As I shot the laser, I happened to notice a butterfly and I watched it's slow, graceful, yet erratic movements. I got lost in a daydream. As I was staring and daydreaming, all of a sudden, a guy walks up to me and says "It was a 3D show!"
Ah, those were the days.
