Yeah, he was allegedly here but alas he didn't drive down my street and see our sign (hoisted monkey style a la Freeway Blogger)"Tucson Welcomes Cobag-in-Chief." It wouldn't have mattered much because nobody would have got it; although, "cobag" does sound inherently derogatory. Returning to the scene of the crime, watching the City crews take it down, you could tell they were pretty confused by the sign. That made me happy. That and the fact that they rented a lift to pull it down from the same light pole that’s been burned out for six months – that really made me happy – I will call tomorrow to complain that the light is still out even though a City crew was just out there to service the pole - I'll also call to complain about the anti-Bush sign that'll be re-hoisted tonight - 'tis a battle of the wills and the lifts - I'm betting that the will wins over the lift.
It's all about the hate of late and the lack of any true leadership on either side to move us forward and LEAD and not follow the polls or jerry-rig some sort of hate-founded 50%+1*10^-256% coalition together just to win an election and rape the country of our wealth and our beliefs only to have us say in return thank you sir may I have another. /rant

Jerry-built. That's the one I think gets mixed in folks' minds with jury-rigged. I'd tell you I remembered while on the crapper, but that would the most extreme sort of gaucherie.
The weird thing is that Jerry-Built and Jury-Rigged mean practically the same thing.

Very very similar, but jerry-built implies something was crap from day one, whereas jury-rigged speaks to recent crapification without necessarily disparaging the prior state.
