The song is great! Bolero is a kind of trippy song to begin with and it lends itself perfectly to the psychedelic treatment. I loved it when groups like ELP and King Crimson used classical music as a template for their own explorations.

Walsh's first solo outing (Barnstorm) is pretty damn good too. Seriously. No really.
Perfect for prancing around the house in denim, just denim, roach clip key chain dangling from your belt loop, as you are drawn up into a haze of smokey goodness.
Or so I have read.

I secretly kind of like Joe Walsh, even though I only know 4 songs. The Eagles were funning on fumes and Walsh tunes at the end.

Both Here We Go and Turn to Stone off of Barnstorm are classic.
An Amazon reviewer writes: Joe Walsh left The James Gang because he wanted to experiment and because he found that band's power trio format creatively constricting.
While true, the idea of Joe Walsh finding something "creatively constricting" is funny.

That is so funny. I know TJG was a power trio, but jeez, he ended up in the Eagles, need we say more???
