I've wanted to hear Rogue Wave for a while, but keep forgetting that I want to listen to them. How Shins-y are they really?
They're Shins-y-ish. But less Flaming Groovies and more Straightjacket Fits.
In a round about way.
And for good or bad.
I like them.
But I liked them MORE when I first listened to them.
I'll have to see if it is the same way for me when I actually have mroe than 4 songs. Wow, Straightjacket Fits. There is a blast. I always got all those bands confused. Like Kitchens of Distinction.
Never listened to Kitchens of Distinction.
Maybe I should.
Or would I find myself liking them less and less the more I listened to them?
Or would it be too tempting to pronounce the name "the Kitchens of Distinction" like Dave Kendall, and thereby drive all my friends away?
Oh Dave Kendall, what a cobag. I think KoD is not good, but I can't remember.

How Shins-y are they really?
I've never thought of them as Shins-y, but maybe I just never put two and two together. Now that I think of it, I still don't think they really sound like the Shins, although they did open for them a couple of years ago.

I've got both Rogue Wave albums. The first one is very Shins-a-rific. The second one is more Spoon/Shins hybrid with a little wilder edge at time.
I'll try and make a more coherent word picture / review.
