I want to Bethlehem once when our ship pulled into Israel. The Palestinian people were very nice there. I hated that our Israeli guide would not let us by things in the local lshops, he made us go to the shops run by Israeli government "the official shops".

I snuck off and bought a olive wood nativity set for my mom. Almost missed the bus to the "official shop".

You were in Bethlehem?? How great!! When? What year? And where?

I have been there MANY times,told stories to cross the checkpoint and went to be with friends there, in Dheisheh refugee camp and in Beit Jala - GREAT people rest assured!

I had heard the Israelis do that ... even though they know EXACTLY how MUCH the people suffer economically. What you tell me shows they couldn't care less. What a shame, what miserable individuals!!
