I met Bill Cullen (host of Joker's Wild back in the early '80's) a long long time ago. So long ago that he was still alive.

If dropping Brad Pitt's name is guaranteed to get a woman to dinner, and say, dropping Curtis Armstrong's (Booger, Revenge of the Nerds) name is less effective ... where does Bill Cullen come in to play?

The I-met-Bil-Cullen card is not one I'd ever considered playing.

(Men are much simpler. Women don't have to drop names of celebrities to get us interested. A simple, "Excuse me, could you tell me what time it is?" is often enough to get us going.)


Eddie Izzard is a hoot. We were just discussing "keeping the Falkland Islands for strategic sheep purposes" last week.
