I've always thought Ankgor Wat was a really cool name. It's one of my favorites, right up there with Katmandu, San Louis Obispo and Impeached former President Bush (that last one is more of a title than actual name.)
Karla, I've fallen completely behind on reading about your trip! Too damned many elections in this country that I have to report on. I look forward to catching up.
I certainly hope Angkor doesn't get loved to death. I've read that it is so swamped with tourists that it is damaging the site. (Not trying to make you feel guilty -- I'd be there in a heartbeat if I had the means. Alas, we'll be lucky to visit Galveston this year.) The postcard you sent us has us multiple shades of green with envy.
