As for the "thugs in blue", I'm sure they'd be the first to take a bullet to save your life as you call them for protection, and the only thing you'd do is piss on their grave.
Obviously you have no respect for those that protect and serve, whether it be P/O's, FF's, EMS, any branch of the Military, teachers, nurses, etc. If you did, you'd understand that they see and deal with the worst society has to offer and has to take the hate spewed at them day-after-day.

And FWIW, he is a good man and far from a coward. He has been a friend for many years, and I, just like so many members of the Dome, know that he is absolutely one of the good guys.

Well, Mr. Bracken, if you've got no problem giving your "real" name, addy and phone number, why did you chose my blog and not post it on the Dome?
