This is just sad. I've had to deal with a similar situation with my son in a couple different states. There have been countless times in NY where the hospital has tried to transfer him into Juvie Hall until he could get a placement at a longer term care facility once his two weeks of medicaid approval ran out. I used to carry all his medical records from the time he was first hospitalized at age 4 to court with me all the time, or show up in city hall with a huge stack of them just to show that the evidence is QUITE clear that he is not criminal, but ill. It's a constant battle, but one that is winnable. Chin up!
