I went to see this band in NY about a year ago and the lead singer/guitarist was wearing a pair of purple Chuck Taylor hi-tops. I think I blanked out the music for the entire set because I was completely fixated on those shoes. I always wanted a pair in high school, but my Dad thought they were too expensive. More specifically, I wanted a pair of purple ones AND a pair of pink ones so I could mix and match them to look like Rick Springfield. Obviously, if I wasn't getting one pair, I wasn't getting two. I really should buy myself some now that I control my own wardrobe!
Yeah why not? They're less expensive than anything Nike turns out!
