Gravatar It has been my experience that when two friends like a guy, they pretty much have to let the guy decide. If he has no feelings towards the first friend who crushed on him, there's nothing the second friend can do to change that. Why should second friend, who also likes the guy, give up her chance? If I were the second friend, I'd go out with him.

Gravatar All's fair in Love and War!! Kate you should go for it!!.... oops i mean your FRIEND!!!! LOL!

Gravatar To put it bluntly, 'your friend' just needs to get over it. What's done is done.

Gravatar I am really hoping that my friend will be more than happy to say something about this, especially as you all seem to think this is *my* problem.

Gravatar Ha Ha! Go get him Kate!
If you take him away from me then I won't have to worry about pissing off you-know-who!
PS. How do you make a smily?

Gravatar I think someone else swooping down from left field and ending up dating him would be quite the deus ex machina this situation needs, honestly.

You make a smiley like this. Duh!

Gravatar That's one lucky guy. He's probably an asshole.

Sorry, cynicism was turned on.

I agree with the concensus. Boyfriends can't be reserved like good seats, though they are in many ways similar to a good seat. If the guy likes Girl #2, and she rejects him out of devotion to Girl #1, then both girls will lose, because this is a guy who can pick and choose.

Gravatar I agree, sugar. As the popular phrase goes, squat and do your business or get off the pot. It's not very pretty, but sometimes you have to let other people take their shot at being happy lest you appear selfish.

Gravatar Yeah, just go for it, Kate.

Gravatar The things women worry about.....Life is short enough as it and you only get one chance....if he's genuine, then he'll do what is right, if he's not, he'll date you both!!! lol
