Maybe it's more that back in the day, I didn't have any reason or job where it was absolutely imperative I got a lot of sleep for the next day, so whether I drank Coke or not, it was OK to do so whenever, just not right before bed.
I still think worrying about these things means I am growing up. :P

Apparently drinking pop close to bed time gives you heartburn, which may keep you up. I'm trying to go back to drinking just water, but I STILL get heartburn. I'm too much of a sissy to go have a doctor check me for acid reflux.

Do what I do, Drink whiskey and who knows if you slept, had heartburn or what!

I'm the opposite. For the past month or so, I can have caffine at 11 pm and I'll still be able to crash an hour later. Definite sign I'm not getting enough sleep.
So yeah, I'd say that's a good sign for you: you're getting enough sleep these days.

Heh. I remember being able to do that not too long ago! Coffee puts me to sleep; I think it's the high temperature of the beverage that makes me want to nod off!
