Tough luck Katrin! regarding the shoes , ja und nehm' wieder beim SP12 dran teil, nachdem ich den SP11 ausgelassen habe (too much stress).

I'm quite certain you are right in that it is a shantung.
It was available here locally in the colorway that you have as well as a pink/orange and a turquoise/green combo. I have some in the turquoise colorway. It's beautiful stuff.
