Maureen,
Don't be all that impressed. The truth is that, while I make 'em, I can't solve 'em. (Weird, isn't it?)
However, if you like crossword puzzles, let me know. I make a Catholic Crossword Puzzle every week, conforming to the New York Times Style Sheet, and will be glad to send you one each week. They're based on the readings of each Sunday.
thanx,
Kelly
P.S. That applies to anybody reading this...should I blog on this?

Nobody does it better...confeitor memes that is.
Okay, one time I happened to be sitting next to a good looking guy and forgot all about starting the Agnus Dei. I confess.)
Which reminds me of a young attractive gal who said that at her parish people like to shake her hand. And I'm thinking "duh!", at least if she's sitting next to a guy with a pulse.

That was a wonderful post. I confess that much of it sounded like me.
About "meatless Fridays": my understanding is that abstinence on Friday was never revoked by Rome. We are still expected not to eat meat UNLESS we choose to visit the elderly on Fridays, for example, or perform some other act of charity as a way of recalling Christ's sacrifice on the Cross and as a preparation for Sunday. Sometimes I feel that I'm the only person in America who knows this. Am I wrong about it?

Nope, Joe...you're right on the money. It drives me nuts whenever I hear anybody say "the Church changed its mind about meatless Fridays".

Let's make an effort to spread the word, then!
Last week, in my presence, a deacon let that "the Church changed its mind" remark pass. I didn't jump in because I was hoping he would say something and then it was too late. Usually though, I say something and am ALWAYS told I'm wrong.
