The Virginia Tech mass murders occurred under President Bush. I don't blame him for that, any more than Barack Obama is to blame for what Maj. Hasan did at Fort Hood.

And that's what this is - a mass murder, not a terror attack. A terror attack presupposes an organized activity planned and/or carried out by more than one person, usually with a political or religious motive. A mass murder only requires one hate-filled individual with loaded weapons and the desire to use them on as many people as possible.

And regarding the swine flu, it is worth noting that the mortality rate is not terribly different from other varieties of flu that typically come around. The Novel H1N1 Flu pandemic's mortality rate among those with confirmed cases of the flu world wide have been around 0.4%. This is more similar to the regular seasonal flu death rates (0.12% typically in the US) in the first wave than it is to the 5% mortality rate of the Spanish Flu. President Obama is not a perfect President. However, I would hardly hold up these issues as articles of impeachment. Impeachment doesn't even show up as a blip on the radar to me or anyone else I know, and I'm not really sure I know how you came to that conclusion. Sorry, can't agree with you on this one.

Not a problem Tim o' mine -- I don't expect many to agree with me.

Obama should be impeached (among MANY other things) for:

1) gross incompetence in the area of foreign relations, to the point where he is actually undermining our troops' ability to defend ANYONE ANYWHERE--and as Commander-in-Chief, part of his sworn duty is NOT to undermine the defense of the country. Or is that obvious fact only obvious to us unwashed, gun-totin', Bible-thumpin' middle-Americans?

2) appointing "czars" in clear violation of Constitutional principle, if not actual text.

3) attempting to force socialism into every area of American life, and largely (unfortunately) succeeding--again, in direct violation of the Constitution;

4) see "undermining" the defense above, in his reaction to Ft. Hood. A commander in chief does not caution that we "need more time" to get facts in a case like this. A commander acts. If he doesn't need facts to appoint czars, he doesn't need facts to come out and condemn these murders. He does one, and refuses to do the other. What kind of a president does this?
a) an idiot, or
b) a man out to disgrace the office.

Neither is qualified. Ergo, either is eligible for impeachment.

As far as the "terrorist" aspect of the attack at Ft. Hood goes, quite frankly, terrorism isn't necessarily defined as having to be perpetrated by more than one person. Homicide bombers (don't call 'em suicide bombers when their intent is to kill OTHERS) act alone. Timothy McVeigh acted largely alone. We could go on, but again, the facts speak for themselves.

And comparing this infiltration of a military base by a person clearly out to undermine the military establishment giving him a paycheck with an unbalanced student's opening fire on Virginia Tech is not even apples to oranges...it's apples to kangaroos. Virginia Tech is not a military installation or a government property; Ft. Hood is. The screening processes that were NOT followed for allowing a man into officers' ranks who openly told his supposed comrades in arms that they were infidels, and that infidels should have their throats cut, is either gross negligence by someone or deliberate sabotage by someone. Either one of these cases is unacceptable; both fall under the purview of our Commander in Chief...

...who didn't even break stride in his PR appearances for more than a moment to MENTION the Ft. Hood slaughter, and then, made every effort he possibly could to excuse the terrorist. It goes without saying that no one who processed this man into the military in the first place will be given so much as a slap on the wrist. If such inaction isn't high treason by definition, it ought to be.

Yanno, there were all kinds of people calling for Bush's impeachment on a HELL of a lot less than what we've seen from Barry already. God help us from the damage this unqualified, arrogant would-be emperor will have wreaked by the time he's done.
