Gravatar Nice thought provoking post! I don't think that my perception of the Divine has any effect on Reality with a capital-R. However, it has a tremendous effect on our realities. For instance, I am a Buddhist and hold that no creator god exists as generally described (admittedly differently per your post here) in the Judeo-Christian & Islamic faiths. This causes me to see the world, and act therein, differently than, for example, one of my best friends who is an evangelical Christian pastor.

Surprisingly to me, in trying to come up with an example of this, I struggle to find many. The most obvious is evangelism itself - he feels it is his duty to preach the word of God, and bring others to that, whereas I see evangelism as highly immoral, as impinging on the freedom of others. But otherwise, I find it interesting how little our approaches to the world differ, even though we are as different as Sun and Moon when it comes to our experience of that which underlies Reality. We clearly hold different images of the Divine, but its effect on our actions, our ethics, is more limited than I expected when I started writing this comment. Thanks for the thought-provoking post!
