. I cannot imagine yet how it will be to have a child and how much love will be there. But I'm exited for whenever it will happen. Btw I just got married (civil wedding, church wedding next year). Pictures are on my blog .

The love we parents feel for our children helps us to understand our heavenly Father's love for us. It's unexplainable, unconceivable, and incomparable.
BTW, I think you are making the right decision about the pics. Not that you needed my stamp of approval or anything. 
So good to see a post from you, Kristen! It really is an amazing, humbling, life changing experience that will become one of the defining factors of your life and of your very being. We are about to go through that experience for the 3rd time in a little over two months!
Yes! I understand. I can barely remember life before Selena. I do know that I was more fashionable and had a better memory
But that fierce love, yes --- I am now like a mother bear and I love it!
Thanks for sending me pictures of Noah! What a handsome little guy! It is amazing how children can change your life. The love only grows and intesifies with each new child.

Kristen, it's great to see you posting again! You're right...having a baby changes you forever. I'm glad you're emerging again! Someday you will indeed think again about things other than baby poop. This too shall pass.
I've never visited here before, but I have to say that this post is beautiful, as truth always is. Enjoy your sweet boy and here's another eye-roller that nobody believes until they're staring at their 20 year old firstborn: they grow up too fast.
I don't post pix of my kids either, for probably (and sadly) the same reasons you mention. Parts of this world are too sick.

The love you speak of is something I noticed acutely on three occasions. The first was my wedding day, where I looked at my beautiful bride and just KNEW that if push came to shove I'd set aside everything for her. Prior to that, I believed I would...the wedding was the first time I felt absolutely certain. The 2nd and 3rd times were when my daughters were born. I can't imagine for the life of me how I could possibly love them more. If the proverbial Mac truck comes down the road, I'd take their place in the road without a 2nd thought.
God's gift of love is too awesome for words. And to think He shares it with sinners like us

For me though, this feeling of protection turned to fear.
I have struggled with this since my first was born almost 4 years ago now.
But the LORD is good and is delivering me of my fears and teaching me to trust in His word.
I just last week had my fourth. At this point I don't have time to fear anymore.
So many littles, so little time.

Do this...7 or 8 times. Eventually, the body, the clothes, the brain...it all becomes unimportant. You don't even notice anymore. You do notice that your love has multiplied so many times it is a wonder you don't explode. You'd think that there wouldn't be any of you left, but indeed, you are so much richer, fuller, more YOU than ever before!
