Thanks! do you mean:
U.S. gasoline consumption / World gasoline consumption
or:
U.S. crude oil consumption / World crude oil consumption

Are some of those red circles supposed to be May 06 rather than May 05? Since they end the 06 red lines, I kind of assume so, but I would like to just be sure. Thanks for all the great graphs!

The data are covering the week ending May 5, 2006 (the red circle). The red line is for the year 2006 up to May 5, 2006.

You may have missed the most interesting graph of all: US inported gasolene... it's soaring.

You'right, gasoline imports are soaring. There are so many inventory data that can be plotted, I'm still looking for the most pertinent info to display. Any suggestions are welcomed!

Actually, I did plot US oil consumption as a percent of World Oil consumption.
heres the graph:

I got the data from the EIA.
Note the 1978-1982 drop in market share.This is the same time the US economy went transistioned into the economy we see today.
