Weird question, I suppose, but the ANZAC reference prompted it. Do you think that the Australia/New Zealand relation is anything like the US/Canada relation? That is, friendly, peaceful, but with a bit of annoyance on the part of the country with the smaller population towards the country with the larger pop?
Oh no, it's much more a big brother/little brother rivalry. Especially when it comes to sport which I don't really follow. It verges on antagonism but not quite, but it's a very active and fiery relationship, especially lately because lots of young NZers are fleeing over there so they can make more money.
