Glad to see we're on the same page with these three films. I love the original Pelham for all the things you mention: it's gritty 70's New York feel (impossible to emulate in modern New York, which is practically Disney-fied nowadays...), the improbable casting, the whole seediness of it all. An awesome underrated film!!

Hi Nick, I just watched Pelham 123 myself for the first time, and liked it quite a bit.

Have you ever seen Chaley Varrick? I think it is a very good Mathau action flick that is somewhat forgotten. It's a favorite of mine!
