In the manuscript I recently finished (in with the pre-editor), the heroine dyes her hair purple!
When the hero meets her, she has long, beautiful, blonde, what he calls fairy tale hair. Then she cuts it all off and dyes it purple.
It was fun 'watching' the hero react to that.

Purple hair! Very Halloweeny. I was gonna do a spooky post but I'm up again on October 30th -- All Hallow's Eve Eve! I'll think of something scary then.
I suppose being called Witch was close enough?

Hair is very important with my characters, not just the color but also the texture. In one of my novels the heroine inherits her great-great-grandmother's hair only hers is not strawberry blond, but bright red, curly, and unruly.
I love the picture. Poor woman. I can't imagine dealing with hair that long.
Interesting post.
