Too darn funny, and a bit of advise on how to find the frog. Wait a month, go away for the weekend, but cut off the A/C. When you return and walk in the door your olfactory glands will be tuned to locate the little creature.

I have to add...Chris (my 15 year old) broke his leg Friday night--the tibia and fibula of his right leg...I think I should start forwarding those e-chain letters!!!

Oh no, Angie. Been there, done that.

When my son was young, we had all of those pets you mentioned and then some. At one point the fire belly newt got out of his cage and ended up on the pool table downstairs, deader'n a doornail. Not sure how he got there, but that was when I had to have the "life and death" talk with my poor little guy! Then, of course, we had to replace him...
