College was an eye opener to me about mediocricy. People were getting 65-70 scores and they were happy. If I got a score like that, I was pissed. Mind you, I was working fulltime, single mom raising a kid, and going fulltime to night college. I realize the other students were probably working, fulltime, too. It just amazed me that they settled for those scores.
scuse me, I said : If I got a score like that, I was pissed. - what I meant was - I was pissed at myself. If I had a low score, that meant I had better hit the books, hard.
