What galls me about these polls, and they seem to have trended this way for quite some time is this. Look at the overall rating of 47% approval. Then look at it issue by issue. Going through your list, i've spotted 11 issues (a,b,c,d and e) Stem cell, Abortion, Anti gay amendment, share your values, Religious beliefs in determining policy decisions, and Bush understanding our problems. The other issues in the poll are somewhat intertwined with another issue already taken into account (for example, his handling of the Iraq war and was the war worth it).
The approval (or same side as Bush) numbers in those 11 issues are 31, 42, 40, 56, 35, 40, 47, 39, 42, 28 and 40. Note, only 2 of the issues hit a 47% "approval" for Bush, with the average being 40%. So who in the hell are the people who are disagreeing with Bush on 9 of 11 issues, yet still giving him an overal approval rating?
