The first thought that popped into my head when i first read the report you link to was that i wonder if Bush's old man got on the phone with Georgie and weighed in on what he really thinks - thereby muting Bush the littler's endorsement.
Of course, no matter what his father thinks, Bush can't do jack squat to Rove because without Rove, Bush is nothing more than a little pipsqueak who couldn't find oil in Texas if you gave him his own oil company. And they both know it. And let's face it, the entire right wing media machine knows it too. Hence the relentless and desperate spin that they're willing to perpetrate - no matter how silly it makes them look.
