I'll send her an email, but you know she'll just blow it off as having come from one of those wimpy 'multiculturalists'. You know who we are. Those of us who believe we can all live together on this planet and have some symblence of peace.
I wonder if Ms West realizes she is simply another version of the 'extremist' that she purports to fear and hate so much. She like they is attempting to spread her own version of hate and discrimation. She has become that which she claims we should fear.
I was once as far-right as Diana . . . but, got better 
. Being brought up in conservative communities, you just never thought of rebelling against the common crowd as a kid, because that didn't seem to make any sense: how else would you have friends? Get into parties? Be accepted by other kids on the school sports teams? All the "important" kid stuff?
So what if gays were unnatural and everyone different than your mainstream friends+family in the community were "foreigners", and not to be trusted until proven worthy? At least you're in the fat and happy crowd.
Seriously, if she's at all like I remember, she doesn't even know why this extremist viewpoint against other people and ideologies is so embedded in her thinking. It's not a thought to make clear or considerable: self-reflection in this area is never a possibility.
Simple worldview, simple answers, simply right. It takes a major, personal event to alter such an embedded perspective, or sometimes the decades of age relaxing one's grip on useless emotions.
You have a point worth thinking about. It's people with views like this who create and fuel the hatred from people who are treated by the intolerance and unaccepting of the people with the original views. YES! Discrimination does fuel the problem. What is this woman thinking?
