To a certain extent, i have no doubt this will add to the drip drip drip effect that's killing the Bush presidency. But i also think he'll again be the beneficiary of lowered expectations. If this sort of thing (and things like Abu Ghraib) were going on under the nose of your local police chief, the police chief would be held accountable and fired. But when it's going on under the nose of an incompetent bozo that can't speak english, the buck will stop elsewhere.

"DICK CHENEY KNEW THAT SCOOTER LIBBY WAS LYING WHEN HE SAID THAT HE HEARD ABOUT VALERIE PLAME FROM REPORTERS!!!!!"
Thanks for your observation/analysis. I hope connecting these dots happens in the discourse as today's talking heads do their thing on the week's events
Thanks

My gut tells me something is wrong here. Why in the world did Libby feel the need to lie? As Cheney's COS, he has security clearance, he had every right to be discussing Wilson/Plame with the VP, or anyone, including reporters (since she was NOT a covert agent, and her identity was already out there). Why lie when the truth was so much more simple and would keep you out of trouble? Was he simply trying to cover Cheney's butt? Clearly Cheney didn't feel the need to do the same for Libby, since Cheney hasn't been indicted.
I have two questions, why did Scooter lie, and who is "Official A"?

wanda,
Those are simple questions:
"Official A" is Karl Rove.
And Scooter lied because he's a Republican.
See? Easy as pie. :^)

Actually Ickabod, all the bucks go into Haliburton's pocket. But you're right about one thing, they'll try like hell to place the blame somewhere else.

WHAAAAA He ruined Fitzmas. They didn't indict Rove WHAAAAA.
It's called politics, didn't you folks all want special councils gone when Bill was getting blown in the oval office, Espy was getting indicted on 30 counts, and Cisneros on 18?
And the best thing IT WASN'T A CRIME TO SAY VALERIE PLAME.. VALERIE PLAME.. VALERIE PLAME.
Ha ha ha ha Rove is still working at the White House and you folks are the minority everywhere.
hhahahahahahaha

CP,
You seem to forget that Espy and Cisneros were acquitted of all counts. I'm not saying that Libby won't be as well, but it's apparent that there was more to this than what McLellan and the rest of the WH wanted us to believe.
But that's okay. You go ahead and gloat. I'm content knowing that Bush's favorability ratings are now at 33%; Cheney's at 19%; and Rove's at 7%. You should definitely be proud of your WH.
Oh well, at least you got the "Crazy" part of your name right.
