I would give my left *** to see Bush impeached. But, ONLY if we've got someone BESIDES Cheney to replace him with. Talk about jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. It is imparitive when we go after him we take down his entire administration with him.
You're absolutely right. This could be a perfect example of careful what you wish for. If Bush is impeached, we get Cheney. If Cheney is impeached first, we get pretty much whatever flunkie they want to appoint to take his place (remember Ford?). We might be better off if we just get everybody but Bush and Cheney out. Better yet, let's just worry about winning the House and Senate in 2006. That way they have no (legal) power whatsoever.
I put all my hopes in a jar and tightened the lid on it. Now, if I pull them out, what will happen. Will they be dashed and bruised again? Will they need to go back into the jar?
