I noticed in Reuters (link below) that
the European Parliament launched an investigation today into allegations that the CIA used EU countries for the illegal transport and detention of prisoners/detained combatants (whatever the corect label of convenience is).

This had previously been put to bed since Rice's visit/assurances that of course there was no hanky-panky going on in any secret prisons.

Fresh reports have restarted the fire and yesterday the Swiss launched a new probe into the leak of an Egyptian diplomatic fax intercepted by its secret service that lent credence to the previous secret prisons charges.

Maybe with this one - in addtion to further hammering themselves on domestic ratings of foreign policy - the Repugs can simultaneously botch something of their Security/Terroism rating as well?
