You would think so wouldn't you? One thing is for certain, if it can be done, this party and this administration will find a way to do it. And if can't, they'll just change the laws of physics. Heck their re-writing the Constitution why shouldn't they try the same with physics?
You've got a point there. If they can't win, they tend to change the rules so that they can't technically lose, either.
The Republican startegy, I believe, will be to get the US involved in another war, this time with Iran, so they can say to the brainwashed "Look how we're keeping you safe from the terrorists." And the brainwashed will go "Thank you very much, we forgive you now for being slimy creeps, here's my vote." The reasonable mind will say, "Wait a minute! What does invading Iran have to do with the war on terror?"
And if that doesn't work, they can always fall back on the touch screen voting fix they've got going.
Since the attention span of Americans seems to be rivaling that of sparrows, and measured in milliseconds, all they have to do is wait.
Oh yes, and invade Iran.
