My guess is both of the ladder. It was probably a quirk to begin with, but once they stumbled across you, I'm sure they've added you to their 'possible terrorist sympathizer's' watchlist. Which of course means they'll be checking out the rest of as well.
Should you/we be concerned? Of course we should. Only a fool ignores the bear that's invaded his backyard. I doubt seriously it's only your trash he's/their interested in.
Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

I wouldn't worry that much about it. I get a lot of visitis from fbi.gov to pentagon.gov and army.mil. I always assume it's simply someone who works in the building taking a little time to read a few blogs. When I see senate.gov, I don't immediately start thinking Senator Clinton or Senator Kerry are reading my words, I think of pages, secretaries, personal assistants, etc.
Besides, if they want a file on me, let 'em. I'd be interested in reading their perceptions of me sometime in the future when I use the FOIA to get a copy.

kissfan,
Myself, I don't think there could be any visitor's visit that could be more flattering.
We're all ignored - until we happen upon and push the right button. Consider it a heads-up you've hit a sensitive or vulnerabe nerve?
If it helps you to sleep any better... I for one pledge the campaign of my life to pull you out of the brig, (after the terrorist security thugs have drug you in screaming and kicking in the middle of the night.) Though I'm not sure how I'll ever know that it happened....(?)
I suppose if you've not posted for awhile - we better start asking questions...?
Thanks

Kissfan,
I'm with Robert. Most likely, rank and file people are reading our blogs. I get visits from people in the .mil domain fairly often. It could be someone checking up on me, or maybe it's some poor soldier who agrees with people like us and wants out. I've also had a visit from the DOD -- that one got me a little jittery. But best of all was a visit from someone in Barbara Lee's office. I can only hope it was her. If this were a just world, she'd be president or VP...
Anyway, like Scott says, we'll bust you out if you get popped. Maybe the best defense is continuing to speak out. Not only is it the right thing to do (and I'm sure something you need to do), but the louder we get, the more visible we are and the less likely people are too eff with us. If Cindy Sheehan suddenly disappeared, we'd know something is up. Or is that just naive thinking? Anyway, if it's any consolation, I'm sure that I've also been filmed at anti-war protests...

We regularly get visitors from the military type sites. Like you, it can be concerning. I don't let it stop me from speaking my mind. Until they cart me away on the dead of night, I will continue to speak out against whatever it is that is under my skin.

if they were spooks or g-men (and they're worth half a damn) they'd be masking their IP's. I do it all the time -- fools the hell out of trackers. I'm pretty sure that simply disabling Javascript for your browser will fool trackers like SiteMeter, too.
As a matter of fact... just from someone who knows a little bit... if you're ever wanting to visit a website and don't want to be tracked, just disable Javascript before you go. Just to be safe.

Thanks Cappy. I too seem to have a lot of DC visitors over at unbrainwashed, but I can't imagine what they hope to find there.

I'm not about to click on those links you posted. My gosh, what if they decide to visit my blog. They'd find all sorts of pictures... Oh, no!
