No, the dead don't care.
Maybe the reason we don't hear more about the 'good' that's happening in Iraq is because there's so little of it. You can only spend just so much time on one story. After that it's back to reality. And the reality is, it's bad. Real bad.

I'ts almost too weird to be possible how people have bought into so many proven lies - for so long. There's been months of pulverizing news stories - some make it to the front pages some not, nevertheless, the Bush crew is not yet impeached. I don't watch TV. Maybe its not in the TV news? Is that the disconnect?
Obviously the polls were not kidding when reporting less than half of adult Americans could not (NOT) correctly identify the three branches of the US Government. How could I expect the same folks to follow any of these complex stories that require far more contextual understadning than that?
I should assume most Americans could not identify Iraq on a map - how could I think they might question the President about why we are in Iraq today? I've lost my mind.
Theodore Roosevelt said, "The American people are slow to wrath, but when their wrath is once kindled it burns like a consuming flame."
Sweet Jesus, let's hope Teddy knew what he was talking about.

"Hey, let's focus on the bright side of willful death and destruction! What are you, some kind of wet blanket? C'mon, lighten up already!"
Un. Be. Lieve. A. Ble.
It reminds me of the end of "Life of Brian" where everyone's up on the crosses, and Eric Idle is singing "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life"...you're right. Dead people don't complain. Or need costly treatment and help once they get home.
That animation is brilliant.
