I didn't like him when I lived in Arizona. I couldn't vote so I guess in the long run it didn't matter what I thougt.

I'll tell you this much... if Mccain switched and ran as a Democrat he would win in a landslide. Most very conservative republicans don't like him... but a lot of conservative dems do. He's spoken out against Bush often, but is becoming very pro-Bush and pro-Religious right recently. Looks like he is looking for the Bush backing for 2008. Bush screwed him in their 2004 campaign in the primary. He'll probably do it again!
As for keeping money out of politics... it'll never happen.

I agree that McCain deserves recognition for his sacrifice during the Vietnam 'conflict'. That does not, however, excuse his politicking since. I basically just feel, "what have you done for me lately?", and the answer is - nothing good. He goes further and further the wrong direction every day.
