The price of electricity just doubled where I live, so we may start eating in the dark, too.
Just think of it as high culture not penny pinching.... 
Or you could move here where in the summer we will almost never use lights because it is daylight until between 10 and 11 p.m. =) (this method only works in the summer though!)
