Karl, you crazy person, we need to be sinking MORE money into the system! Maybe we can put in 2 trillion and achieve results in the ten-thousandths of a degree!

I'm not sure I trust these numbers, but even so, spending any amount of money in prevention of a myth is remarkably disastrous. Don't get me wrong, alternative sources of energy are great, and if we can implement eco-friendly solutions efficiently and cost-effectively, I'm all for it, but throwing money at global warming will do nothing, just like throwing money at our education and health-care problems has done nothing.

Spending trillions to stop global warming is absurd, though, isn't it? Maybe the most ridiculous thing I've seen in my life. And I was sentient during Gerald Ford's "Whip Inflation Now!" campaign.
