I don't know if you saw the first post about it today on my blog, but my questions is this: isn't the filibuster supposed to be used ONLY in extraordinary circumstances? I don't like this idea of catering to these people and selling out our principles. I really see this backfiring, especially since the leaders of the Democratic party aren't on board and are going to be very unhappy that ANY of Bush's judges are getting confirmed. But that's just my take.

My guess, really, is that the judicial filibuster goes away. Just as we have our RINOs, there are a few non-bomb-throwing Democrats left in the party. I think they've decided that this level of partisanship is not their cup of tea, and there are enough of them to stop the madness.
By putting Owen, Brown & Pryor on the bench, these 7 Democrats have decided to kiss goodbye to financial support from PFAW, Emily's List, MoveOn and the rest of the far left. Maybe even from the party's own campaign committees. Those groups spent millions and millions of dollars to paint these three nominees in the harshest terms possible. I don't think the 7 will be able to cure that problem by backing away from the deal now, so why bother? And as Sen. Graham said yesterday, being conservative can no longer be considered extraordinary.
Of course, I could be wrong about all this. On Brit Hume's panel last night, Krauthammer & the babe from Boston were basically in agreement with you. Kondrake was in agreement with me. Which is not particularly reassuring.

Hey, I think there's a Milquetoast Conservatives club in your area..
I hear they are passing out your "Surrender" White T-Shirts on this New Deal. They got a cash bar as well. Good prices. One Beer = Your Soul.
Problem is I am not sure if any of the conservatives in this club still have a soul. No problems they are also serving Pepsi for your self-respect.
You simply trade in your self-respect and they'll give you a Pepsi in a can!
