Gled you posted this as I was also examining the CBO report last night and was thinking along similar lines. Alas, I couldn't log on to post at Angrybear and even if I could have, I wouldn't have had the very excellent graphs that you provided. I did manage to get one rough estimate based on the following assumption - if Bush does get his way keeping tax rates low, what would be the ratio of total Federal debt to GDP in 2017? My guess was that it will be around 75%. So much for paying down the debt!
I would have had a graph of the projected debt to GDP ratio but Blogger is still acting up. In the meantime, enjoy the extension of this discussion over at Angrybear.
