Is it just me or when you click the link it takes you to the main shop page and not to a pattern? Am I just doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Chesley, was that midnight thunderstorm your wakeup call? It worked- I had to go check out the pattern right away now that I was awake! One question- does the measurement of the foot length really work out in this pattern- as shoe size isn't equal to foot size? No I'm not that far yet! (but hope to be)

I didn't get the picture at midnight so didn't realize until now that the way I'm reading the pattern the zig-zags are coming out as a spiral- very nice though. Is this a problem ???

ok, I just figured out what I misread when it was too dark to pay close attention! I'm so far ahead, I'm behind! I'm starting over. And did someone give my cat something- she will not get off my lap!

I notice this pattern doesn't have sizes. I happen to have the same size foot as my target, and am using yarn I've used before, which matches one of the specified gauges. I know that if I cast on the recommended amount of stitches for this gauge, the sock will be too big for the foot size I'm supposed to be knitting.
Help? Suggestions?

Hi theLady,
You can either knit on smaller needles, thus getting a smaller gauge. OR, keep going as written. I am also knitting a pair slightly larger than I would wear, but, they still fit and are comfy slouchy. I figure this leaves room for various foot and leg widths. That is one of the brilliant things about Amy's pattern, there is a lot of built in stretch.
Hope this helps...

Now that I am already past the point of no return...I want to make sure I'm not accidentally cheating! The way I am reading the pattern, it is OPTIONAL to carry the Zap pattern across the top of the foot. In other words--if I choose just to knit the rounds for the foot, I'm not breaking the rules by making the pattern "easier"...right?
It's a great pattern..unfortunately I picked a variegated yarn color that doesn't really show the zig zag to its full potential...but I still like it (and I am sure my target will be thrilled to receive them...hehehe)
Thanks!

Yes - carrying the pattern across the foot is OPTIONAL. You can just do stst for the foot. Your call.
