Hi Chesley, Please add me to the list. I'm still trying to decide on yarn. I would like to use something that is good for a chilly summer night. A bit challenging to feel yarns while shopping online.

Hi Chesley,
you missed me! That's okay, I don't exactly drop by the store every week, hihihi. I'm using something from my small stash of wool: Sale e Pepe (or Lana Grossa, who I think is the maker), an Italian yarn that I bought eons ago. It only says it's Color 2, but it's a two-ply yarn in baby blue and white. Thinking about it, it's probably Lana Grossa yarn in the color Sale e Pepe (salt and pepper is my guess there)(although I've never seen blue pepper, even when I was in Italy). Once I cast on and have knit a little ways I'll send you pictures!
Love,
Sophie

Sorry Sophie!! I don't know how I missed you. At least I got your country listed. =-)
Wendy, what about the pima tencel or Venezia? Even though the Venezia is 70% merino, it is very light and the silk makes a gorgeous drape. Sierra would be beautiful, but I know you just used that for your Rogue.

I can second Chesley's suggestion on the pima tencel---I've just done the ribbing so far, but the yarn is fabulous to work with and drapes beautifully...it's going to make a gorgeous Sprout!

Third on the Pima Tencel - it's a dream. One of my favorites ever.

I'm working in Berroco Ultra Alpaca in a light green heather. I was at a curriculum committee meeting all day today, so I have actually made some good progress on my sprout.

I've been undecided but today is official, I'm going with a green heathered cascade 220. Now to get started!

Thanks Chesley. I'm going to go with Venezia after looking at the color selections.

Hi Chesley,
Just wanted to update you: I've decided to go with a different yarn, since the Sale E Pepe is really hideous. I'd forgotten why it's been stashed in a deep dark corner, and I'm just going to chuck it now (some yarns just shouldn't be made).
I went to my LYS and Lila and I picked out Debbie Bliss Pure Cotton in bright red. I've cast on for the first sleeve, using the marvelous magic loop technique, that I had never heard of before today, but that I'm loving so far. It really IS magical!
Love,
Sophie
