Gravatar Hi Chesley, Please add me to the list. I'm still trying to decide on yarn. I would like to use something that is good for a chilly summer night. A bit challenging to feel yarns while shopping online.

Gravatar Hi Chesley,
you missed me! That's okay, I don't exactly drop by the store every week, hihihi. I'm using something from my small stash of wool: Sale e Pepe (or Lana Grossa, who I think is the maker), an Italian yarn that I bought eons ago. It only says it's Color 2, but it's a two-ply yarn in baby blue and white. Thinking about it, it's probably Lana Grossa yarn in the color Sale e Pepe (salt and pepper is my guess there)(although I've never seen blue pepper, even when I was in Italy). Once I cast on and have knit a little ways I'll send you pictures!
Love,
Sophie

Gravatar Sorry Sophie!! I don't know how I missed you. At least I got your country listed. =-)

Wendy, what about the pima tencel or Venezia? Even though the Venezia is 70% merino, it is very light and the silk makes a gorgeous drape. Sierra would be beautiful, but I know you just used that for your Rogue.

Gravatar I can second Chesley's suggestion on the pima tencel---I've just done the ribbing so far, but the yarn is fabulous to work with and drapes beautifully...it's going to make a gorgeous Sprout!

Gravatar Third on the Pima Tencel - it's a dream. One of my favorites ever.

Gravatar I'm working in Berroco Ultra Alpaca in a light green heather. I was at a curriculum committee meeting all day today, so I have actually made some good progress on my sprout.

Gravatar I've been undecided but today is official, I'm going with a green heathered cascade 220. Now to get started!

Gravatar Thanks Chesley. I'm going to go with Venezia after looking at the color selections.

Gravatar Hi Chesley,
Just wanted to update you: I've decided to go with a different yarn, since the Sale E Pepe is really hideous. I'd forgotten why it's been stashed in a deep dark corner, and I'm just going to chuck it now (some yarns just shouldn't be made).
I went to my LYS and Lila and I picked out Debbie Bliss Pure Cotton in bright red. I've cast on for the first sleeve, using the marvelous magic loop technique, that I had never heard of before today, but that I'm loving so far. It really IS magical!
Love,
Sophie
