Tuesday knitters? Yarn Harlot is fantastic - I check her blog and the Yarn Harlot Fans group on Ravelry every day. Also have all but one of her books.

The tuesday group is informal, but happens almost every week. It started with 2 friends meeting in the morning and has grown as more have discovered it to be a wonderful time to sit and knit. Plus, UPS often makes deliveries during that time so you get to see the new stuff when it arrives.
