Gravatar That is SO cute! - and I love the armhole mods. I think it look much more finished, and gives that little extra coverage... in fact, now it looks like something I might consider!

Love it.

Gravatar Told you that you would totally rock Coachella! The armhole mods make for a nicely finished look.

Gravatar It looks great on you, so much better than the original on the model! I think the armhole mods make it fit perfectly and take away some of the hootchiness.

Gravatar It looks great! What a steal on the yarn.

Gravatar Looks great on you! Sounds like interesting yarn. Your armhole mods really make a difference in the look.

Gravatar This looks perfect on you, your modifications were spot on. I'm totally gonna copy you and do the same thing.

Gravatar You look marvelous! Great job on the armhole mods. Seeing yours makes me think (that with the proper undergarment) I might want this for the hot summer coming up!

Gravatar That looks fantastic! I cast on for this myself... hope it turns out as well as yours did.

Gravatar hey, congratulations on the awesome top! i looks great and it looks great on you! i want to make one now.

Gravatar I like the armhole mod. I was looking at my edges and thinking htey looked a bit unfinished. but that will have to wait till after I frog & re-knit....

Gravatar looks great on you! not everyone has he arms to pull that off, but you certainly do, ma'am!

Gravatar This pattern really struck me as clever and I want to make one, too. You did a great job with the mods and it looks terrific on you.

Gravatar Damn! That was fast! It looks amazing on you. I agree ... you have the arms & upper back to really wear this sweater well.

Gravatar It looks great - Coachella is somewhere on my list of things to knit Looks like it was a really fast knit!

Gravatar I love how this turned out and you look so great in it! Mind if I link?

Gravatar Hi! I'm visiting here from Laura's blog, and just wanted to say that the top does look really great on you! Thanks for all those pattern notes; I'll definitely come back here if I decide to make this top. I like your yarn sub too. I knit a OSW with Wick and really liked the springiness of it, but completely agree about the snagginess.

Gravatar Love your Coachella! Mine is blocking as we speak. I didn't make any mods, but that's because I'm not smart enough to do those type of things. Mine turned out just fine, though. IMHO, nowhere near the "hootchiness" described by an earlier commenter. (But then again, I didn't find the original hootchie at all.) I need to find a bra, though - the only racerback bras I own are athletic, and that's a)not racerback enough, and b)nowhere near sexy.

Gravatar Fantastic! Your modifications make it something that could be worn to work as well as out on a Saturday night. Having shoulders like yours doesn't hurt the look, either.

It's gorgeous, and it looks amazing on you. Good goin'!

Gravatar I totally love yours, it makes me think to make one myself from Empire Silk from Karabella I got on sale! Rock it, Jen!

Gravatar I love it! I think it looks even cooler than the original. I was kind of put off of the original because of the back, but on yours I don't mind it at all. Good job!

Gravatar Oh man!!! It looks great! So cool to see a finished one! Hope you like it

Gravatar Most Excellent! I love your very stylish armhole modification and will absolutely use it. Like the others have noted, you MOS DEF have the arms/shoulders/back to sell this pattern far better than the model in the original pattern!

I'm thinking of making this in either Tahki Bamboo or Rowan Bamboo Tape, which is very drapey, so I might have to try your neckline modification as well.

And we SM SnBer's already know - you're like the fastest knitter on the planet.

You Go Girl!

Gravatar I think I might pick up stitches to modify the armholes too. It is a great idea! Thanks! It looks great on you and the color is my favorite...

Gravatar I love how the back looks!!! I've been trying to design a racer back tank dress for my stepdaughter and have been surfing the net for some kind of guidance on the whole racer-back thing. I remember seeing that pattern in my search, but it was laid out flat and wasn't actually ON a person. It had looked kinda weird when it was laid out flat. I do, however, want a conventional front neck instead of a cowl. She's about to turn 12 and I think the conventional neck would just work better for her.

Gravatar Just found your blog - Coachella looks fabulous!

Great color for you too.

Lucky girl, how did you get all of that yarn for only $8? I just got yarn for mine and won't dare tell you what I spent!

Off to check out more of your blog. Looks like you are a great knitter!
