Gravatar Well, you should be proud of the handsome blue sweater. Not only does it look but, but you made it so quickly.

Not quite a painted Koigu convert just yet, but I remain open-minded on the subject.

Since I'm commenting in reverse order, let me say that 1) I had no idea you played and 2) that's a mighty nice clavinova.

Gravatar I *love* the Godson sweater! I think argyles are so cool but I hate knitting intarsia... You did a great job!

Gravatar I love Clavinovas... so much better than other digital pianos. I used to have one, but I got rid of it under the mistaken idea that I would be staying in one place long enough to justify moving my piano. Not so, and I miss the clavinova... enjoy it!

Gravatar Congrats on the Clavinova! I hope you get many hours of playing on it, and it's not just a nice background for your FOs. BTW, your FOs are great. I also had a tough time with the chevron socks from Sensational Knitted Socks. Love the color of the godson sweater too.

Gravatar Exciting arrival! Have fun!

Regarding Koigu pooling, you could always stick with the solid colors (the non-painter's palette line)....

Gravatar I LOVE the sweater. The subtle argyle is really cute.

Gravatar I've been charity knitting too these days, and my Equestrian Jacket is suffering for it. I'm really enjoying making a double-knitted blanket for Project Linus. Since I work at a gym now, I'm hardly in regular clothes and find that it's much more satisfying to knit for someone else than make something for myself that I'll hardly ever wear because it doesn't look good with spandex or dri-fit.

And yay for the Disneyworld half marathon! I think that's around my birthday - mid-September, right?

Gravatar Nice piano! And your hubby's going for the Goofy? Bill & his marathon-running buddy have been talking about that one (although not for this year - they're already overbooked in the marathon department, crazy guys!).

I would love to do the Disney marathon sometime. I've heard it's nice and flat. As for running slower than you walk, I think that's quite normal! According to Jeff Galloway (some famous running guy), you can often go faster if you combine running & walking. I've just gotten to the point where I'm not getting beat by walkers in the races I do. It's so sad to be running along and get passed by a walker. On the flip side, the Olympic race walkers can walk faster than Bill's marathon pace! Wrap your head around that!
