Tuntutuliak, in my humble and very meek opine is one of the finest, if not the finest village in Alaska; not because my roots are from there; but because it is.

David,
My girlfriend and I just got offered jobs to teach in Pilot Station in the Alaskan Bush. We presently live in Colorado and are looking for a life change. We've gotten great feedback from friends about our plans. the only problem is that we haven't spoken to anyone who has actually had the experience. How are "out of towners from the lower forty-eight" treated in the bush? We've heard some good, welcoming stories and some horror stories about the Bush just being a bunch of drunk people who hate outsiders. Can you shed any light on our situation? Thanks for your time!
