Dave--
It was great to see what you were up to--I had no idea that you were moving to Alaska. From the sounds of it--it seems like an amazing experience and one that I can greatly appreciate after working in the NYC schools! How is everything going? I spent a few weeks in Alaska (up by Lake Clark) and fell in love with the place--it is beautiful there. I am sure your students and your school are thrilled to have you. What an amazing experience--and one so different from Philly! Good for you!
All the best-
Kirsten [from Wooster :o)]

Hi! You posted a link to your blog on my message board at http://p069.ezboard.com/bamericanstew
I thought you were just another spammer until I came to your fine blog.
You said on the board that teaching in Alaska has been "interesting". I suspect you have a gift for understatement. (grin).

I first read the title very quickly and thought it said "Iq Milk". I thought: "What on earth is an Iq?!!" I then thought: "I wonder if Iq's milk tastes like goat's milk?"
Seriously though. Interesting location, interesting blog. I used to be a fan of Northern Exposure. Will carry on reading with interest. Your world is a long way from mine (I live in Brussels at present).
