Wow - that sounds like such a great trip, and a real experience for the kids. Sounds like something they'll remember for a long time (especially in teaching 1,300 other kids how to dance!).

Wow, I was doing a search about the trip to see if any pictures were posted about it and I found this journal in the search. I was there representing Hamilton, Ohio. I'm the president of our teacher academy and we took home second place for the display board with technology competition..it was very exciting. We felt like celebrities when we got home. It was an amazing weekend, one that I won't soon forget. The alaskan dancers were amazing as well. They inspired me because of how proud of their heritage they were. We had dinner in the ballroom at the same table as the group from Nome, so I got to spend some quality time with them. They also made me and a few of my friends from our Teacher Academy come up and try their dance. It was a wonderful experience!!
