I'm so pleased that you haven't disappeared - I've been checking back regularly! I hope you have a good rest-of-the-summer and I look forward to next year's installments :).

It's always great to get an RSS feed notice that something new is going on at a site that's been quite inactice. Welcome back and enjoy Juneau - it's beautiful there!

Always look forward to more from you

Good to hear from you again, sir. I've been wondering when the latest update would be. Keep them coming.

What Ally said!
I check every day. I enjoy the vicarious experience and directed a co-worker who vacationed in Alaska and LOVED it to your site.

It's good to hear what you're up to and like you, we're all looking forward to you next year in Tuntutuliak.

Good luck with grad school. Looking forward to hearing about your new adventures in August.

David,
Glad to see you're still with us! As an adult student going to grad school, I agree; it is something to behold. All the best, and I look forward to your return in August.

I thought you ran away! Nice to see you are sticking with it. Can't wait for more. Thanks!

I just found your site here, and I'll be a frequent visitor from here on. One of the goals for my web site project is to provide a safe place for all Alaskans to exchange views. Perhaps it is something that will be helpful for your students to be able to exchange with other students from around the state. Just an idea. Keep up the good work.

Bob

David,

I don't really remember the details, but I somehow arrived at your blog during my on-line research in preparation for my move to the Alaskan village of Selawik. I too am an educator who is taking the plunge into the unknown. I hail from the beautiful, though hurricane ravaged, beaches of the Gulf Coast of Florida. I anticipate that moving to the NW Alaskan bush will be quite an experience! I'm already mourning the loss of my flip-flops as I write! Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experiences, as they have served as a valuable source of information for me. My blog isn't quite running (I haven't made any posts), but it's up and I will be sharing my experiences as well. Best wishes for a wonderful school year!

Hey Dave-
Good luck in the upcoming school year! Was year 2 scary for you? We start tomorrow, and I feel less ready today than I did last year. ;-)
hugs ...
Dagmar
