Be nice!

Gravatar Unfortunately, I believe there can be no peace in the middle east between Israel and Palestine.

Scripture tells us that in order for the Lord to return, there can be no peace between those nations. As sad and awful as the killing is, the fact that they can't get along is in some small way comforting to me because I know that the worse it gets, the closer we get to the Lord's coming.

That does not mean that I don't think that we as a nation should not do what we can to prevent mass murder, I do. If, however, they suddenly started getting along, and the peace "process" worked, I would become very afraid.

Gravatar Sometimes, in healthcare, we get slammed for writing really horrible things in very bland terms. We'll say, for example, that the patient was verbalizing considerable disconfort. In plain English, he was screaming in pain. We're just trying to save the passion for what may be worse to come. I try to think that the papers are doing something like that when they understate a catastrophe. Given their history of using loaded words to say almost everything, however, it is a little hard to believe that they started reporting dispassionately today, of all days. Still, even I am a little numb at this undeniably horrible news. Maybe they are, too.

Gravatar and you are surprised because.....?

Gravatar We're surprised because the left appears not to have learned from history. Perhaps you're suggesting that we shouldn't be.
